First let me thank you all for your creative expression, for without your energy the world would be a very dull place to live.The Black Rock Arts Foundation is interested in knowing what art you have available for temporary installation.

Black Rock Arts Foundation (www.blackrockarts.org):
The mission of the Black Rock Arts Foundation (BRAF) is to support and promote community-based interactive art and civic participation. For our purposes, interactive art means art that generates social participation. The process whereby this art is created, the means by which it is displayed and the character of the work itself should inspire immediate actions that connect people to one another in a larger communal context.
One of the programs of BRAF is the Civic Arts Committee. Its mission is to help place interactive art in public locations, through active site discovery, civic negotiation, physical implementation and finally handing off the process to local citizens.
Vision: We envision a World Wide network of Cities that have the capacity to display Alternative Interactive Art in public spaces with local support groups (such as the Burning Man Regional Network) to supply the necessary assistance to the artists, local governments and communities to sustain the display of Alternative Public Art. Many future possibilities exist. One possibility is that this network of Cities could develop the capacity to exchange Art Work in regular intervals with other Cities.
BRAF is entertaining many new site locations for temporary installation and we need your information. For each artwork please provide the following:
• Name of Artwork:
• Artist or Artist Group:
• Contact information (email, phone):
• Philosophical statement of Artwork:
• Physical description of Artwork (materials, dimensions, whether fire is a component, etc):
• Price of Artwork for temporary installation (artwork only does not include trucking or install):
• Is Artwork suitable for indoor, outdoor or either location?
• Artwork current location.
Please provide two jpeg of artwork, one full scale and one detail.
